2.15 lakh trees will be cut to dug diamonds worth crores in Buxwaha forest.

One lakh 12 thousand people from across the country, including Madhya Pradesh, have come forward to save 2.15 trees to be cut for the Buxwah diamond mine in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. In view of corona, all of them have currently run the Save Buxwaha Forest campaign on social media, but as soon as the corona infection is stopped, all of them will reach Buxwaha. If necessary, they will stick to the trees. On 9th May, 50 institutions across the country have worked out a webinar and chalked out a strategy for the same. It is being reported that there are a large number of diamonds worth crores of rupees, which will be cut down there to extractthem.

Meanwhile, Neha Singh of Delhi has also filed a petition in the apex court which has been cleared by the apex court to hear it. Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, who is associated with the nationwide campaign to plant people, tulsi and neem in Bihar, says corona has highlighted the importance of oxygen. Karuna Raghuvanshi of Bhopal, who is associated with the Rashtriya Jungle Bachao Abhiyan, said that people from many states are associated. Dr Dharmendra Kumar said the campaign will be intensified as soon as the corona is over.

He said 62.64 hectares of forest is marked for diamond mine. The rule is that if there is a mining project of more than 40 hectares, it is approved by the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests. Sunil Agarwal, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Land Management, Forest Department, says that the proposal has been sent to the Central Government but is yet to be cleared.
